In this long-term project, started during lockdown in 2020, I visited each of the 2,222 street trees in my postcode area of SE15. Spending a moment with each tree, I took a small bark rubbing on paper. These marks were assembled to create a large-scale “map” of the area’s urban forest at the time of making.
