I sit between two strips of knitting, joined by a length of yarn. As I knit one side grows while the other unravels. Each hour, marked by the hourglass, I switch direction, unravelling the first side and increasing the second. Through the repeated knitting and unravelling, the yarn in the middle becomes more and more frayed as my fingers and eyes gradually tire and become stiffer.
